Brick Wall

I write this post through teary eyes and with an extreme amount of frustration and anger. We did not get Griffin's travel Visa yesterday at the US Embassy and therefore can not come home tomorrow. There is an error on his Kazakhstan passport...it lists him as a female, a typo made at some government office. The US Consulate here can not issue the Visa with that type of error. We begged and pleaded but he explained we'd have serious problems upon our arrival in the US with that type of error. Our adoption agency is working to get a corrected passport...let's hope they handle things better this time around. We hope to be home next Thursday.

This set back is almost too much to bear emotionally. I feel overwhelmed by shear frustration. At this point Jesse is the calm one and I'm the one pacing around like a caged animal.

We're so sorry Connor and Lana!

We'll pass along an update as soon as we have one.

I want to say something or call someone to make it all better, but unfortunately I don't have those kind of powers. I'm thinking of you guys and hoping you're home very soon.

When Griffin arrives in the US, this "quirk" won't mean a thing. In the meantime, your extra time in Kaz will be a special time for just the three of you getting to know each other. Our thoughts are with the entire family, at home and abroad...

Hi Guys!
Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Everything will work out and hopefully this will be the last hurdle you will have to deal with! Hang in there. Everyone on Churchill is patiently awaiting your arrival. :)

I'm sure Griffin is enjoying your undivided attention right now.By the time you get home he'll gain 5lbs., be walking around and he'll have his first new buzz! These few extra days may make the flight home much easier for all of you.
Love You

oh nothing is ever easy in Kaz, is it? We went through so much like that when our kids adopted our granddaughter - it was always so up and down. On the bright side, this WILL be fixed and it is just a blip in the scope of things. And there are always reasons for things happening as they do - I side with Grandma T who says maybe you are meant to have a little more alone time with Griffin. Please try to enjoy it and remember, this will get fixed. Hang in there!
